What is Columbus Center

Columbus Center is a mixed-use air rights development project that will be built over approximately seven acres of the Massachusetts Turnpike (prior air rights projects include Copley Place and the Prudential Center).  The project consists of four parcels (16,17,18 and 19) stretching from the corner of Columbus and Clarendon (across from Back Bay Station) to the small triangular parcel at the intersection of Arlington, Marginal, Herald and Tremont (roughly between CVS and Tedeschi’s).  Once built, Columbus Center will include approximately 451 condominiums, a 160-key hotel, 2 larger parks on Parcels 17 and 19 and a smaller park on Parcel 18 (Cortes Street). The project also will include several new eating establishments, retail, a grocery store and day care center.
